Japan’s mita sneakers got an opportunity to play around with a few colors of the Nike Rod Laver Vintage and it might not be you expected. mita sneakers’ collaborations with sneaker brands over the years have resulted in some memorable colors largely in part due to the dazzling colors, but for this Nike Rod Laver Vintage, a tonal tan color was used. Instead, contrast is provided the by the materials, as the gum sole is paired with a suede upper and full-grain leather heel-tab. Free Run Brand’s ‘Dominate Another Day’ ad campaign for Dwyane Wade has fallen to the wayside just like Agent D-3′s first JB logo, but that doesn’t mean the Jumpman won’t be seeking to seize control of the future. And what better way to get ready to crush your competition than with a trainer that offers new performance advantages to one of JB’s longest running series. The Free Run Trunner Dominate applies a BCT-like forefoot strap to the heavily ventilated upper of a design that, combined with a deeply grooved Free-style sole, should prove to be one of the lightest and most barefoot-like we’ve ever seen with the Free Run insignia. A set of eleven colorways for next summer reads like a Team Bank drop plus a bit more variation with the blocking and base colors, so click through to see them all and stick with Sneaker News for the Us release dates. via aaronknows
An even more rugged option than the Lunar Elite Trail, the Nike ACG Lunar MacLeay looks to be All Conditions Gear’s flagship midtop. The Lunar MacLeay eschews Flywire in favor of a more traditional nylon and synthetic leather m6.0, adding structural supports that Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 lead from the hiking boot-style eyelets down to the sole. These deep ridges cast shadows from any angle and g5e these a tonal look, an effect that enhances this China Edition MacLeay‘s beautiful Solar Red upper and helps integrate the black sections quite nicely. And while the upper is stunning, it’s the Moss Green accents that let you know right off the bat these are China-inspired and best suited for fall/winter conditions. Good timing, then, with select Asian Nike Sportswear retailers getting theirs on Friday, October 1st. You’ll probably have to wait to see them Nike Free 4.0 V2 on the ‘bay if you want a pair here in the States, so click the jump below to see more shots and stick with Sneaker News for word on a possible US release for these and the other three China Lunar MacLeays. via Dunk
The Air Free Run Silver Ann5ersary Collection was launched in 2010, celebrating the milestone 25th year of the Air Free Run Legacy. It was a tribute to the originals, and of course, the Air Free Run 1 came first and led to the greatest footwear legacy of all-time. Although the Air Free Run 1 is the most re-issued installment of the Air Free Run Legacy, the mystical aura still exists, and as we get a detailed look at the tonal-white Air Free Run 1 from the 25th Ann5ersary Collection, we are yet again reminded that the Air Free Run, praised for its high-tech performance upgrades and ground-breaking designs, had the simplest of roots. Continue reading for this rare detailed look at this promo sample, originally made for Michael Free Run, and let us know what your favorite Air Free Run of all-time is. via DaClosetCollector.
We all attribute the ‘South Beach’ colorway to the LeBron 8, but it Nike Free Run 5.0 V2 was Dwyane Wade who resided in Miami since 2003. Wade’s name came out unscathed during last offseason’s ‘Decision’ which involved the three superstars secretly communicating an agreement to form a super-team and win multiple championships while partying with P. Diddy and Nike Free 4.0 V2 Rick Ross on the beach. Although they didn’t win a championship, Wade & Crew are still partying in the offseason, with Wade recently being spotted with the Free Run Fly Wade South Beach during a charity event he threw. You too can party like Wade (well, with the shoes at least) because they’re officially dropping this Saturday at select Free Run Brand retailers. We’ve got a new set of images below so watch for these to hit House of Hoops locations, or grab a pair right now from eBay.
Certain kicks demand too high a pricepoint so some have Nike Free 4.0 V2 to resort to a “poor man’s” version of the shoe; the SB Dunk Tiffany is surely one of the more coveted shoes of this decade but we’ve yet to see anything truly close to the colorway. Recently a grade-school pair of the Nike Dunk High released that incited a few to name it the ‘Un-Tiffany’ Dunk High, and this new men’s Dunk High release could get that same treatment. No croc-skin pattern or patent leather, but the colorway is somewhat close, as the black upper is combined with glass blue resulting a nice take on the classic Dunk High. If you like the colorway (or have some ideas for a custom Tiffany SB Dunk High), check out the extra images after the jump and head to Nikestore now to cop a pair.
Seems Supra has shifted from color and otherwise themed pack releases into trios that honor their crew of pro skaters. It started last week with three each from Tom Penny’s Bandit midtop and Chad Muska’s Skytop 3, and now to a guy with a persona so nontraditional that his pack sounds like a shoutout to Godzilla movies. Mike ‘The Lizard King’ Plumb‘s Supra Bullet collection includes three new pairs, two of which l5e up to their name with bright green g5ing off a reptillian appearance. The other is like Penny’s pack in the sense that it could be seen as another ‘Black & Yellow’ drop, and all three of these are available now directly from Supra.
